Obey: brainwashing and corruption/uprising and rebellion
The protagonist singing this song used to be brainwashed and felt fine because of it. When he peels back the curtain and takes a deeper look at what’s actually going on around him, it’s too much for him to handle and he metaphorically stabs himself in the eye, wanting to blind himself from the truth of the world and returning to the blissful brainwashed state.

If Angeldust is proven to be Selene, interestingly - she has had an autopsy (evident by the scar on her chest, exposing the ribcage - definitely autopsy as the scar is from xiphoid process through to clavicle) .
